Cantina Il Torrione is the passion project of Jan Brouwers and Bert Hamelinck. The gentlemen took over the Il Torrione wine estate in Montefalco in Umbria in 2023 with one goal: to become the leading wine estate in the region. The fact that the gentlemen take this seriously has now become apparent: their wines (and olive oil) are now served in the better restaurants in Belgium.

During this winemakers dinner, the wines of Il Torrione will be paired with the delicious dishes of restaurant Maillard in Mechelen. And the gentlemen will launch their first Rosé. Yes, with a capital R, because here too the ambitions are high. You will be initiated into the world of Il Torrione by Jan, Bert & Lander. The chefs of Maillard have provided a fantastic dish with each wine.

The Menu

This is an all-in formula: dinner, wines, water & coffee/tea are included in the price. The total price is €109. You now pay €20 per person for the reservation ticket. You pay the rest of the amount on the spot, after dinner.

Accessibility

If you come by train, it is only a half minute walk to Maillard. (Mechelen station) If you come by car, we recommend that you take one of the two underground car parks, each a 5-minute walk away. Parking Bruul and Parking Maarten are the closest. If you come via the Tangent, you can also drive into Parking Mechelen P1 (station). Of course, you can also try to find a spot in the surrounding streets.
